Sample the
seasonal best!

With the
English apple
season in full swing and consumers showing a growing interest
in local produce, ASDA will be promoting the seasonal best from
Kentish orchards.
In store
demonstrations and sampling will take place at the following
stores next week:-
Greenhithe – October
19th
Canterbury – October 20th
Ashford – October 21st

said ‘Consumer reaction has been fantastic, they actively source
UK fruit and read the labels to find out where it comes’

are working closely with our growers to obtain the best quality
fruit and the varieties that our customers want. This year we will
make in roads into heritage and exclusive varieties but we will
only sell them if they are good enough. Our focus remains on
quality and value.'
Currently there is a
revival in many of the older, traditional varieties of apples.
Consumers will get the chance to taste something unusual compared
to what they may normally purchase and by buying local they are
supporting the Kentish growers.
